			On January 22, 2016, a altchan known as zzzchan was founded by a user named DiceG after the 8chan board /zzzy/- The Zzzy was deleted due to inactivity. It was initially called zzzchan.com but .com dropped the servers following the addition of a board dedicated to laziness called /hikki/ in 2019. The site is very friendly but is one of the Imageboards that is friendly to soyteens, but doesn’t understand Sharty memes, like your mom and your dad.

			After a 4 day period without a Zzzchan domain (an event called the zzzpocalypse), zzzchan.xyz was bought by DiceG for around 50 dollars. The site also made the switch from Vichan to JSchan in 2022.

			In late 2024 discussion of [[Neon Genesis Evangelion]] were banned following a SNCA argument on zzzchan’s /a/, and all the anime boards were banned. The board for discussing Japan, [[Sharty:Though\|though]], was not locked.
