Cheddar is a Shroom user who served as a moderator of the forum until his retirement.

History

Cheddar joined the Shroom on Christmas Eve of 2025, despite no one having any prior knowledge of who he was, he was still made a moderator on the same day, leading many to speculate he was a sharty janny, some even suggesting he was actually Mist. During his tenure, he became beloved by the userbase after making a draw request thread, creating the Shroom Drawpile and eventually the pixel planet. He was particularly critical of Broot because he ditched the Shroom to become Broom admin, so Cheddar made a thread calling him out and sparking some drama, culminating in RandalSoy making Yaoi ship art of the two. On March 27 of 2026, Cheddar announced that would be his final day at the shroom, citing personal issues. While many shroomers mourned, the thread was later derailed to be about Goot.

Message regarding Broot

> You betrayed the community that supported you the most, the place you are the founding father of, just to get your admin position on the new big thing, the soybooru forums. I don't blame you, you are desperate to stay relevant and this is the smart move. You actually did a good job hiding your powerhunger for most of your time around the soysphere. Still, i wish being loyal meant more to you. You could have remained an admin here and be a mod on the booru forums, barely anything would have changed. But you had to go all in, conflict of interests? Are the soypolitics all that worth it?

To not even say goodbye to this place when you retired from your position, how much does being slightly more relevant in the soysphere matter to you instead of staying here and interacting with the people that have been your supporters, internet friends, and cojannies for the past two years?

I think people have a right to hate you now, this is the tipping point. You fumbled the schlog, you were booed off the wiki, you keep sperging on the booru, you betrayed the shroom. Where are the brootal wins? How do you manage to fumble everything you do besides making gifs with your self insert?
