A fact is the opposite of a Lie. Usually these are statements or claims that are backed up by Snopes. Facts are mostly from the real world, that were confirmed by those who can prove their claim with evidence and reasoning that are valid. Facts are mostly formed from neutral perspectives, as bias could distort a fact into an untrustworthy statement.
What makes a fact factual?
You may ask what actually makes a fact a fact and the answer to that is:
- It was fact checked by snopes
- The fact has been fact checked by peer reviewed studies
- Science says so
- It's backed up by it's own claim, evidence and reasoning
- It's coherent and simple
- It doesn't has fallacies that make it inconsistent
