The Cricky is a dead forum soysite and splinter founded on the 1st of October, 2024. The site (as the name implies) was focued on Cricknetsov, an edit of Kuz as a cricket, compressed like a Babyjak which was mildly popular in 2024, The site was hosted on the ProBoards forum engine from it's inception date to the 22nd of January 2026, where the domain would be moved to a new site running phpBB called crick.ct.ws.
History
Pre History
Sometime in early 2024 (Presumably February - March), the Cricknetsov variant would be created on the Shemmy, although some claim the image was created on /ptb/ on soyjak.party. The difference in opinion is mostly dependent on what site you frequented
Foundation and shilling
The first place the Cricky would be shilled to was the Schlog, Crickoot (under the alias "The Cricker") expected the post announcing it to be deleted, and himself banned for "splintering", even if that wasn't his goal. To his suprise a few people ended up joining, Schlog moderators such as bariqqh and DOLL would allow the site's advertisement to stay up on the grounds that the site was never advertised outside of the thread.[1]
LeafChan board
Just a few days later, on the 4th of October, The Cricky would request a board be created on the dead imageboard leafchan dedicated to crickets, and it was added (no citation available as it was never archived.) Leafchan would fall as the cricky continued on, however,
Interactions with The Kuzzy
After ages of inactivity (which is to be fair, 99% of the cricky's life), Crickoot would be browsing the Kuzzy until he saw the users of that website discovering the cricky, attempting to establish a colony, Quickly he made appearances in the thread and on the website.
The Appearance of Orchata
On the 23rd of July 2025, a user would join the site named Orchata, and would begin laying out ambitious plans involving reviving the cricky, Orchata would be nearly as active as Crickoot (both users would disappear for weeks on end and return at random days, That's just how it is on the cricky).[2] Orchata would engage in fierce combat with another user (Posting as a guest) called "kys", involving brown cricket quoting, Notably, in a thread where Orchata designed a Natejak variant to represent people who used the site.[3]
Orchata would state that "I have no means to make this splinter hostile with the soysphere. I am still active Sharty afterall."[2], However, this has come under criticism as splinters' attempts to ally or even be neutral with the Sharty always end in the splinter getting botted, Also, the term 'soysphere' was used incorrectly as splinters are a part of the soysphere, the soysphere encompasses every site about soyjaks or their derivatives.
The Endchan bunkers
On the 30th of September 2025, Along with the 1 year Update, 2 boards would be started on endchan, /crick/- Cricket and /crol/- Crolchan 2002 serving as /soy/ and /pol/ equivalents for the cricky
The 1-Year Update
On the 30th of September, 2025,the site would be updated, adding 2 new boards (/regi/, /vip/). A visual effect was added of cricknetsovs flying over your screen every once and a while, A cricket was also added spinning around your cursor.
The Migration to phpBB
On the 22nd of January, 2026, Crickoot closed the website and opened a new forum hosted at Crick.ct.ws, running on the phpBB engine, He stated that he would've hosted it on his own servers, had he not been busy using it for something else. A Nushrekchan user had requested that Crickoot migrated to PhpBB back in October 2025[4], Crickoot did agree with the idea but didn't do it until the new year.
On the day the Nu-Cricky (ct.ws) was founded, The drama between sidson.city and sneed.95.fyi already spilled over, Due to sneedyteens creating a visit (raid) thread on the Cricky, however the cricky was not raided (not as of the 24th of January 2026). Sidtrick, an admin on the Sidty joined the forums and began posting about how bad the sneedy was, Later on, a sneedy user simply calling himself "sneedy" would join the forums and converse with crickoot in much the same way, just against the Sidty instead. Crickoot has stated that he likes both sites, and will try to stay impartial, even if it leads to the cricky forums being a battleground for the quarreling websites.

A board which is very futuristic, extremely so. It has a futuristic esthetic and MasterComputer is a reference to a character in IHNMAIMS, a notable Troonslop.
